Some simply wish to manipulate the truth, because it helps in advancing and pushing their own political agendas

I am PROUD to say I am member of the BC Conservative Party.

I am a 'fiscal' conservative with a 'social' conscience ... and I believe I am among majority of the members of our party.

I too have a religious beliefs and affiliation -- BUT I know my personal beliefs stay outside the door of the party.

Members of my own Constituency Association know, and understand that, because I myself have shut the door to ANY discussion on things that could perhaps have a religious undertone when it comes to policy.

That said ... I really do not understand why people outside our party can't, or refuse to, understand this can be done.

I guess they have their own personal agendas, prejudices, and axes to grind.   I also do not think I would be off the mark either; by saying there are some who simply wish to manipulate the truth because it helps in advancing and pushing their own political agendas.

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on if you agree, or disagree with this.

In the meantime, I'm still Alan Forseth in Kamloops, and these are still the thoughts of 'one' conservative.

Who’s out for the BC Liberals? The question should be, “Who isn’t”?

The clock is ticking on Christy
Clark and the BC Liberals
Well, as of late Thursday morning (August 30th), here's the list of BC Liberal MLAs that have announced they will not be running in the next election:

  • Harry Bloy – the ONLY Liberal MLA that supported Christy Clark
  • Kash Heed – former Solicitor General
  • Kevin Krueger – former Minister of Social Development … Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts … Minister of Community Development … and former Minister of State for Mining
  • Dave Hayer
  • Murray Coell
  • John Les - Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier
  • Bill Barisoff – House Speaker
  • George Abbott - Education Minister
  • Mary McNeil - Children & Family Development Minister
  • Kevin Falcon - BC Finance Minister and Deputy Premier
... and Randy Hawes, as of Tuesday (Aug 28th) says, “… he is still weighing his options.”

Would you not agree with me in saying that's a very substantial list given the names on it?

Other than two backbenchers (Hayer and Coell) these are all BC Liberal MLA's that have played a major role in the Cabinets of both Gordon Campbell, and Christy Clark.

For Christy Clark to say this is simply nothing more than a rejuvenation of the party is absurd.

Who’s out for the BC Liberals? The question should be, “Who isn’t”?  Stay tuned … there will definitely be more to come.

I’m Alan Forseth in Kamloops, with the thoughts of one conservative.
