Now there is a credible choice -- what a great Christmas present!

I recent days and weeks, I have written a couple of pieces, regarding recent polls showing the growing strength of the BC Conservative Party.  I for one have been delighted to see the continuing momentum, as more and more people look to see what alternative there is to the BC Liberals and the New Democrats.

A few people have emailed, and sent me a few notes, regarding what is happening politically, and so I thought I would share a few of them with you.  The first is from former Reform MP Jim Hart who said:

The recent pre-Christmas poll has indicated continued growth for the BC Conservative Party. It has also clearly shown declining support for both the Liberals and the NDP.

As indicated by this poll the Liberals use of attack ads against BC Conservative Leader, John Cummins has been a dismal failure. In fact, the strategy has had the opposite effect, boosting the support of the BC Conservative Party and leader John Cummins.

The other major issue exposed in this poll is that support for the NDP is declining.

Both BC Liberals and the NDP policies have proven detrimental to BC’s economy, and this history has buttressed the BC Conservative case that British Columbians have no appetite for either of these parties tax and spend policies.

BC Conservatives are offering tax RELIEF by conducting a complete review of taxes, licenses, fees and permits within 18 months of becoming government this will result in a prioritized list of taxes to be removed, reduced and amended.

It is time to support a party that will bring conservative values to the BC Legislature.

Here’s another one …
I missed it, Alan... I was out celebrating the numbers. Anyway, my evil plan is coming to fruition.

As it stands, my hope for the next election (and I said this shortly after the LAST election ) was that the BC Conservatives would make huge gains and ...hopefully keep the NDP to a minority government and hold the balance of power.

The good news / bad news for the Socialist Hordes will be … well you won the election...but it's a minority. I'm thinking of the second election in 2017.

Have a good holiday season … Don

Great job! I agree, but as we know the Liberals will continue to say that this poll proves that voting for the BC Conservatives is a vote for the NDP. My theory is that we will continue to erode the Liberal support.

I think that we should also be saying that the Liberals have not earned the right to govern another term and that the BC Conservatives could hold the balance of power in a minority government.

This makes the party very strong in the next legislative assembly. The numbers do not give the majority to the NDP; I believe that a party needs about 38% for a majority.

That should be re-phrased "a vote for the liberals is a vote for the NDP". On a side note I can't believe what a short memory the electorate has, all the recklessness of two NDP terms already forgotten!

I shake my head each time I see the polls, seriously NDP in the lead? They'd have tough time organizing a drunken party in a brewery.

I can't remember who said this and I quote "the electorate en mass is stupid", think it was Harold Wilson not sure though. It certainly seems like a valid thought.

Sorry for the rant, felt compelled to share the bewildered feeling.

What a great Christmas present!

Given all the recent talk, by BC Liberals, this comment gave me cause to chuckle :D
...perhaps Kevin forgot that his party got elected by first "splitting the vote" with the Socreds. Remember them, Kevin? I do, and I foresee the exact same thing happening to the Liberals.

The BC Liberals are not going to win the next election (for sure).
The Provincial Conservative-Liberal coalition is over.
The BC Conservatives are here to stay.
The BC Liberals have broken democratic faith with citizens.

History has proven that NDP socialism has no answer for the economic dilemma.

Now is the time to build a conservative movement, to protect our Province, and realistically face future challenges.

Now there is a credible choice!

As someone, very much in the know, wisely told me recently, “… all over the province people are responding to our positive message of change ...

I like those words because they really do say, and capture, it all!

John Cummins ... and the BC Conservatives ... have a “Positive” message of change.

I’m Alan Forseth in Kamloops, with the thoughts of one conservative.
