We now have confirmation a location confirmed for our first ever
Kamloops BC Conservative Party G-I-G-A-N-T-I-C Parking Lot / Yard Sale --- which takes place
from 9am to 3pm on Sunday October 14th.
Randy at the Valleyview Barbershop at 2172 Flamingo Road (where they
always have the big outdoor Christmas display) has kindly consented to allow us
to use his parking lot and. For those
unfamiliar with the area, Flamingo Road exits off Highland Drive, and runs into
the Valleyview Square (at the TD Bank end and where the old Turbo gas station
used to be).
So we now have a location ... now we need some good quality stuff for the
sale --- and we need tables. We’re
hoping to have enough items donated that we will require at LEAST a dozen
tables.
Now’s the time to free up room in your garage – and to do a fall
cleaning in the basement – to find items you can donate. We’re looking for gently used / good quality housewares
… sporting goods … baby items … books / CDs / Videos … and more. Anything people would be looking to buy.
We are creating a couple of central areas to store the items, and so we
can do a bit of a pre-sort ahead of set-up on sale day. If you have room in your garage to store some
of the items being donated, email the garage sale hotline at alfman55@hotmail.com … or call (250)
374-6196.
The plan right now is to take the items down to set-up the sale area at
7:30am – the sale will then get underway at 9am. We will also need a truck or two to transport
the items to the sale site -- any takers??
Remember … pass word along to your friends and neighbors about the
Parking Lot / Yard Sale -- we'll need people to buy our stuff. Friends may also have items to donate, so
don't be afraid to ask.
AND … we can still use a few more people to help with the event … and
to take care of the membership / information table.
This “Parking Lot / Yard Sale” is to add to the campaign funds we will
need to support of BC Conservative candidates in the Kamloops South Thompson,
and Kamloops North Thompson riding's.
Their success will depend of each one of us doing our part.
