BC Conservatives to hold Leadership Convention and Special General Meeting

If you are a member of the BC Conservative Party, you have hopefully received the following notification that went out yesterday from BC Conservative Party President, Wayne McGrath.

As a member of the BC Conservative Party, you are cordially invited and strongly encouraged to attend the Leadership Convention which will acclaim John Cummins as the new Leader of the Party. The attached link Registration Form provides the details of this Convention which will be held in Surrey on May 28, 2011. You may also register online at www.bcconservative.ca.

The May 28th Event will also include a Special General Meeting of the Party at which time members will have an opportunity to debate and adopt policies that will form the basis of the Party’s Election Platform for the next provincial general election. There may also be amendments proposed to the Party’s Bylaws.

This will be the first opportunity for members to meet our new Leader. It may also be the last general meeting of the Party prior to the next general election IF the new Premier decides to call a snap election. Therefore your attendance is very important.

I look forward to seeing you on May 28.

Sincerely,
Wayne McGrath, President
BC Conservative Party

I'm sure looking forward to attending the meeting as I was unable to make it to the AGM, and there are many folks I would like the opportunity to meet in person.

These are exciting times in BC politics, and the breeze of change will hopefully start to become the winds of change with the leadership of John Cummins ... and a a new updated set of policies to go along with the BC Conservative Party's Contract for British Columbia.

In Kamloops, I'm Alan Forseth.
