Again Kevin, why is it I should be supporting the BC Liberals in the next provincial election?

Kamloops South Thompson MLA Kevin Krueger
Late yesterday afternoon I wrote a blog story after hearing my Kamloops South Thompson MLA, Kevin Krueger, on CHNL radio.  The story was entitled, "Tax and spend BC Liberals WILL NOT win the next election".

Since it was posted I have received a number of replies ... here are just three of them:

... perhaps Kevin forgot that his party got elected by first "splitting the vote" with the Socred’s. Remember them, Kevin? I do...and I foresee the exact same thing happening to the Liberals.

John Les also was absent from a cabinet post for a long time with a cloud hanging over him ...

you want a part of the liberal record??? Check this out;  Where the money really goes - ICBC top 50 employees - their annual salaries for 2010.

These people also have expense accounts and excellent benefits and pension plans:
1. SCHUBERT, Jon President & CEO  $449,201
2. KIRKNER, Art V-P, Field Services  $315,824
3. PRIOR, Geri Chief Financial Officer  $461,710
4. HORTON, Craig Senior V-P, Claims  $406,379
5. POSYNIAK, Len V-P, Human Resources  $348,021
6. WING, Donnie Senior V-P, Corporate Affairs  $371,382
7. EDDIN, Sheila Chief Business Transformation Officer  $358,454
8. MINOGUE, Camille Chief Actuary  $355,701
9. HESS, Fred V-P, Driver Licensing   $319,127
10. CHAUDHRY, Anwar Corporate Controller  $319,609

This list had, as mentioned, 50 names however I have only included the top 10 due to space considerations.  I should mention that not one name on the list makes less than $200,000 a year.

And, as Gary Mason said yesterday in a Globe and Mail story:
Consider this: when the Liberals came into power in 2001, the provincial debt stood at $33.8-billion. In 2011, it was estimated to be $45.2-billion. And we know it is only going to keep growing between now and at least 2013, if not longer.   This is not the kind of record that a party that prides itself on responsible fiscal management wants with an election 17 months in the offing.
Again Kevin, why is it I should be supporting the BC Liberals in the next provincial election?

If you dont think a vote for the BC Conservatives is a vote for the NDP then I have some oceanfront property I can sell you in Vanderhoof.

Everything the BC Conservatives are complaining about when they talk about the BC Liberal record will be matched and compounded by Adrian Dix and his provincial destruction crew if he ever becomes premier.

Let's face it Dix was Glen Clark's right hand man when he was in office and I would be shocked if the Fast Ferries where not either his idea or at minimum had his rubber stamp on them.

Dix will quickly tax corporations out of the province and turn the province into a the basket case that it was in the 90's.

If the BC Conservatives want to do something that makes sense they should go after 5-10 seats where they know they can win and even if they dont they will not split the vote. The odds are this will allow them to capture the balance of power and control the BC Liberals. Not only will this be brilliant if it works but it will save a bunch of money the BC Conservatives dont have in the election campaign.

Any dreams the BC Conservatives have of winning power is hallucination of the highest order. The dont have any infrastructure, elected member or leader with guts. The guy they have now is unfortunately just there for a bit of joy ride. Little does he know that if he cause an NDP government that ruins the province for 5 years he will be the poster-boy for the blame.

I will continue to hold fast to my belief --- and the belief of many others --- that NO MATTER WHAT the BC Liberals will LOSE the next election.

I for one refuse to hold my nose once again and vote Liberal.

The fact we now have a BC Conservative option only strengthens the democracy of our province.

To ask, no demand, my vote for NO other reason than to not do so will see the NDP elected is nothing more than callous disregard for each and every person in this province!
