BC Conservatives will not be splitting the vote --- the BC Liberals are driving their supporters away.

I generally find it interesting to hear Jim Harrison’s editorial point of view on CHNL radio in Kamloops, however today I was puzzled but what appeared to be an acceptance of the Liberal mantra that that BC Conservatives are going to ‘split the vote’

If you listen to Christy Clark and her Liberal MLA’s, it seems that their only reason for being, and why people should support them, is because ... “We’re not the NDP”.

Regrettably, that is also the thought coming from a few former MP’s like Stockwell Day, who once believed in government reform by the grassroots … and that accountability, honesty, and responsibility to the voters was paramount.

BC Conservatives, led by John Cummins are developing policy that will value and respect the priorities of people throughout the province.

Instead of closed doors – there will be open doors

Unlike the surprise introduction of the HST and the Carbon tax by the BC Liberals, BC Conservatives will be honest and up front about the taxes people are asked to pay so they understand why they are there, and what the money is needed for.

Instead of a litany of broken promises, arrogance, and deceit … there will be respect and accountability to the people of BC.

People want to know their equality is not based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, or the color of their skin …

Parents want to have a greater say in the education of their children … people want to know that their elected representative is there to speak on their behalf – not just follow the party line … they want government to be smarter in how our tax dollars are spent in health care … and they want an investment in policing to ensure our communities are safe.

Support for the BC Conservative Party is growing because people want to have a common sense choice on the next ballot --- they do not want to hold their nose and vote Liberal … nor do they want to feel there only other choice is to not vote, or to destroy their ballot.

These are some of the reasons why people are taking a good look at the BC Conservative Party, and why more of them, like me, are coming on board to build a party they can be proud to support.

BC Conservatives are NOT going to split the vote --- BC Conservatives are going to be attacting the vote.  Yes that vote will come from people who in the past have voted Liberal … but it is also going to come from people that have previously voted NDP … and people who have given up voting because they no longer believed it made any difference.

No one should buy into the arrogance of the BC Liberals who believe they have a right to your vote.

It’s not that the BC Conservatives are splitting the votes --- rather it is the BC Liberals who are driving their voters away.

I'm Alan Forseth in Kamloops ... and I am proud to be a BC Conservative!
